CirciThe bell of an alarm rang, loud and shrill, from the clock next to Circi's bed. She hit it carefully, and sat up slowly and gracefully. Circi had always been something out of a movie; when she woke up in the morning she was never groggy, messy or tired. She was an unusual beauty, a ruby in a pile of crystals.
Circi got out of her bed, made it, and walked over to the window while stroking the creases out of her night gown. She looked out over the dark city she lived in. Some may call it a wasteland, but she thought it was beautiful. So full of potential... so full of him. But he was gone now.
